One of the themes of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is that our life in Christ is a life together. As Anglicans we appreciate and express our together-ness through networks of local churches, gathered together in a diocese. Our particular diocese is the Diocese of Western Anglicans. This diocese is geographically large, stretching from Arizona to California to Montana. Each year our diocese gathers in late October to encourage and equip one another for the common work of mission which the Lord has given us.
This year’s diocesan gathering will take place on October 27th at the Presbyterian Church of the Master in Mission Viejo, from 8:30am-4pm. The main speaker in the morning will be the archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America, the Most Rev. Dr. Foley Beach. After a time of worshipping together we will have the chance to attend workshops and intensive training tracks to be equipped for mission. Here is a list of those workshops and tracks. You’ll notice that several are offered by members of our church. To register for the gathering, use this link.
I highly encourage you to attend our diocesan gathering, as it will encourage you, equip you, and give you a broader sense of our life together in Christ as manifest across various states and in a variety of churches.
