In a recent Barna Group study, San Diego was rated as the 10th most post-Christian city in the United States. This study backs up what we experience in our daily lives: that our neighbors need to know the love of God expressed in Jesus Christ. The Gospel gives us true life, a life based on the love of God, to be embraced by Him, and given forgiveness, purpose, community, and hope. At Holy Spirit Anglican Church, we understand that each of us is called to be an ambassador for Christ in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces so that many will be drawn in to the worship of the Triune God.
With that being said, the most effective way to reach non-Christian has been shown to be the planting of new churches. We desire to be a community which, out of faithful response to the living God, is regularly planting new churches in our neighborhoods and communities. Our current goal is to plant a church in the community of Santee sometime in the fall of 2017. If you would like to know more about this church plant, please see the church plant vision statement that our deacon, the Rev. Jack Davenport, and his wife, Lauren, have put together.
