2018 Fall Small Groups
The fall small group term is starting the week of September 9th! At Holy Spirit Anglican Church our small groups are such an important part of our church family. Small groups are a place where we pursue God and are formed by loving Him in every area of our lives, build each other up as a family of Christ, and invite our neighbors to get to know Him.
Our small group leaders and hosts are such a blessing to our congregation and we are so grateful for each one of them. Each small group host and leader share their gifts, time, and skills so generously!
As we prepare for the small group term to start, I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that is interested in hosting or leading a small group to join us at our small group leaders meeting August 12th at 11:30am.
Hosting a small group: A host is such an important part of small groups. Small group hosts generously open up their home and allow people to study scripture in a welcoming and safe environment for everyone to experience God’s love. What is beautiful about being a host is that you get to generously share your home with others and extend God’s table to people who want to fall more deeply in love with God.
Leading a small group: Small group leaders are such an important part of our leadership as a church. Small group leaders create a space where every small group member has a voice on the table and has the opportunity to learn more about Jesus as they study scripture. Small group leaders lead a bible study each week and facilitate discussion in their small group. What is beautiful about leading a small group is that you get to see people fall more deeply in love with God while at the same time grow closer to God yourself by allowing Jesus to shape you as a leader and to use your gifts of leadership for His Kingdom.
If you’re interested in hosting or leading a bible study, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or join us at our small group leaders meeting August 12th to learn more about what it looks like to be a small group host or leader-no strings attached!
